Basic
Principles and Fundamentals of Line Locating II (BPFII) |

|
This course is
available to all those interested in becoming a
locator technician, as well as
those who would like a more thorough understanding of the
importance of line locating (ie: ground disturbance
supervisors, company management, contractors, etc). |
|
|
|
This is a
two-day course on basic line locating training and
techniques with concentration of the rules and regulations
pertaining to ground disturbance.
Safety issues and practices are strongly emphasized
and addressed in detail. |
|
|
|
One day is
dedicated to line locating theory, and one day is provided
for a "hands on" training exercise on an active site. |
|
|
|
Upon successful
completion of this two-day training course, students
will be qualified as "trained to industry standards", and will
receive an EMLOC Ltd BPFII Line Locating certificate, valid
for three years from date of issue. |
|
|
|
However, students will not be competent,
qualified line locators until they have acquired at least 200
hours of employer training under close supervision on all locator
tasks, as per
CAPULC
Canadian Locator Technician Standards
and
CAPULC
Locating Industry Recognized Practices (LIRP). |
