About Our Trainer - Ken Kuzyk

Ken served for 22 years in the Canadian Military in the electronics field as a Radar Technician and Electronics Instructor, and has certification in electronics, man management, course development and instruction.  He carries over 40 years of electronics experience.
 

He wrote the Corrpro Canada Inc Line Locator course, and assisted in the development and writing of the ENFORM Buried Facility Line Locating Course (BFL) and Seismic and Upstream Oil and Gas Course.  He was also the instructor for these courses. 

 
Ken was instrumental in the development and writing of the Canadian Association of Pipeline and Utility Locating Contractors (CAPULC) Locating Industry Recognized Practices (LIRP), and the CAPULC Canadian Locator Technician Standards.  He was also one of the founders of CAPULC.

 

As a qualified NAIT instructor, Ken teaches the Gas Operator's Line Locators course for NAIT.  He is also a qualified Ground Disturbance Supervisor - Level II (IRP17) instructor.
 
Ken is both an active line locator and a line locating and ground disturbance instructor.  He is trained in WHMIS, Emergency First Aid, H2S Alive, and CPR with all tickets current.  He is also qualified on the Alberta Safety Training Standard Course (IRP16).

 

He has written client-specific locating courses for companies such as NorthwesTel and SaskEnergy/TransGas.
